Adding some zazzle with accessories

Being pregnant my wardrobe has been somewhat limited and repetitive..  To combat the boredom I have invested heavily in the wearing of scarves and necklaces.  They add a point of difference and allow me to feel somewhat on trend.  Its easy to add a little zazzle to your outfits and recycle without feeling like your wearing the exact same thing over and over..

Necklaces with some sparkle and texture, scarfs with color and texture.

Today I popped into Colette to take advantage of the buy 3 for the price of 2 sale

these beauties came home with me

I love this image from pinterest for some added inspiration..

Updated Skincare Routine

Pregnancy has seen my skin go crazy, I've had hormonal breakouts on my chin and drier than normal skin. I tried to use some simpler skin care to perhaps ease the irritation but this did nothing and lead to some major skin frustrations. Lately I have upped the ante with the following products and my skin is thanking me (finally). Have you had a major life change and a subsequent skin blowout?

Cleansing and exfoliating. This has been taken to the next level with the following products which I alternate

The Body Shops Vitamin C Microderabrasion. I use this twice a week at the moment, You only need the tiniest amount and I use it in the shower and gently rub in a circular motion over my entire face

Lush Australia Coalface Cleanser, this coal based cleanser is amazing for drying out skin that's a little oily and acne affected. You must moisturize after or you will be a dry mess but this product is wonderful.

Moisturizers and serums

The Body shops Vitamin C Serum, this product helps to brighten skin tone and to help heal and fade scarring. After all the breakouts I have had I have lots of light pink scaring and this product helps to brighten the skin and fade those pesky pink scars. Im using this on top of my moisturizer on the areas of my face that are scared and irritated.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Plus, this is a wonderful product. It has a light smell and is light in texture it moisturizes and helps to fade breakouts, heal skin and keep acne at bay. I love this product. Im currently using this morning and night to help heal my skin and I cant tell you how much my skin tone has improved since using this product, it is worth the hype.

I've also added these two products to my routine but its too early to see an effect yet..

Hydraluron 30.0 mlHydraluron, to help hydrate skin
Retinol Reface 30.0 ml Retinol reface, to help with pesky wrinkles

Any recommendations on how to fade scaring and help heal skin?? x

Miss anything?
On occasion a wine, and being able to just eat anything and not have to think about each mouthful and what it could do to the baby

Some flutterings and kicks....

Food cravings?
Juice, any type and often....

Anything making you feel queezy or sick?
Not anymore, yippie

A healthy and precious Baby Girl

Back pain and sciatica.

Belly button in or out?

Happy or moody most of the time?
Happy but very tired and my back is very uncomfortable

Looking forward to?
Easter and having some extra rest time

Bump Fashions

Lycra has well and truly become my best friend, my bump grows daily and Lycra accommodates the growing bump and leaves me feeling comfortable and cute.

My favorite Maternity wear stores are

All offer affordable and on trend fashions. I wasn't keen to give up my style completely but I also didn't want to feel like a whale in tiny clothes. Finding cute and affordable clothes that have accommodated my growing bump with ease.

My hot tips for pregnancy fashion would be
  • embrace stretch
  • stick to neutral colors so you can outfit repeat often
  • add accessories like beads, scarfs and cardigans to change simple outfits up
  • Smile, you will glow

Beads and scarfes have become a daily staple to dress up simple stretchy outfits
